BK Company gathers artists coming from various corporeal universes, whatever from the scene of contemporary dance, mime, butoh, body expression, gestural theatre, martial arts it is.
The research task draws its sources in these spaces in order to extract a creative substance out of it, unique and original in all its productions and also bases itself on the concept of body installaton where the notion of communication holds a primordial place.
Performances and body installations are the master words that thus most precisely qualify its productions. Indeed, the space design process of each creation being based primarily on the body element, BK Cie does not evolve any more towards the concept of spectacle to properly spoken but rather of space, of place of energies convergence and intentions.
All the productions have ultimately a central intention, a single concept developped in various forms. Concept of experimentation, communication, exchange. To physically assign the spectator, to mobilize him body and soul.
Thus, the purpose of each creation, based on a precise topic, is not to propose a polemic or a personal vision of a particular subject, but an incentive with the "collateral effects". Like a butterfly effect lived in the spectator, his flesh, his spirit.

Carved in the pure copper, the shiny costume, two men, the Cityzens, stand motionless in the falling night. All in them evokes the daily universe of a businessman. But from the first movements they switch us into a parallel space, out of time, where the daily gesture becomes choreography. Their dialogue is not any more but gestural and turns into strangeness and unexpectedness. The breaks in rhythm punctuate their slow movements tirelessly, their exchanges take place within the urban space like a new glance on the city. The daily ballet becomes then a shifted spectacle of the reality.

Blite, like black and white.
Drowned in the spherical roundnesses and the elegant lines of the carriers. A privileged space, drawn bar, suspended at the interstices of the gestures. A mixture of bodily and architectural urban installations. Blite moves within the urban landscape randomly, confers it a new face, ephemeral, and slowly imposes the public this quiet presence. Then suddenly the fall, an epileptic gesture, a resonant provocation which freezes the space. Like on the edge of the void, the limit of the acceptable, the danger. The spectator questions himself.
Blite, always on the edge.
Like shades in the maze of the cities. Plated against the anonymous walls. At the terraces of the cafés. On the public benches. A twins duet evolving in a permanent "question/answer", mainly gestural. The situations settle progressively their improvisations, in a thick silence. Each movement is a ceremony, each action sacred. In the most total discretion, they captivate the disconcerted and meditative passer by. The mystery remains whole, what do they do, where do they go?

Liegen 0° (translate lay down zero degree) is a performance/body installation for outdoor context, site specific and unusual locations which aims to share with the spectator a common reallity: our body.
The project is build as a combination of real stretching and deep release process of the dancers, and several short choreographic sequences.
The performance is still in research and work in progress, and will be available soon.
Audio visual performance with dancers.
Slight movements multiplied into the light game of a virtual kaleidoscope: dancing bodies captured in evolving fractals.
Dancers and video performer create spontaneously harmonic and aesthetic images in an intuitive interplay, without having met ever before.
Fractal Dancers is a co-production between BK Compagnie and Generative.org
